MORNING Skincare Routine// ACNE Prone Skin & Blackheads

A. My Golden Acne Spot Treatment

Sarah’s day really started because I suffered from severe hormonal acne. It was my biggest insecurity in my life and it would honestly determine my daily behavior. Treating and curing my acne was a tedious process, but I finally got it! Now I’m here to share all of my simple tips and tricks with you all! Let’s start with one of my favorite local treatments of all time … My Golden Acne Goop!

Simply mix organic turmeric powder with a teaspoon of good quality manuka honey until it is thick, sticky and pasty. Saffron is an incredible anti-inflammatory agent that helps to reduce the aggravation and redness of the skin. Manuka honey is an antibacterial agent that helps to cleanse the skin of germs, promotes healing and recovery.

I usually leave in the applied area for about an hour, but each person is different! I have a very obvious yellow tinge to my skin, so I can leave the saffron products on my skin for a while, without worrying about discoloration. However, if you are paler and rosier, I recommend working carefully with this recipe. Turmeric is discolored and can leave a slight yellow tinge on the skin. No body has time to look like a Simpsons character, does it?

Apply this local treatment when necessary! I used it three times a week!

B. 3 Day Skincare Reset

Hi! We look forward to welcoming you to By Sarah and the start of your 3-day skin care redefinition. We do things a little differently here and it all comes from how we created By Sarah in the first place. Our approach to skin care is like no other and is probably what you are looking for.

In this 3-day skin care redefinition, we’ll show you how to take your skin care regimen, how to create a simple morning routine and how to enjoy your skin care routine at night by thoroughly cleaning and restoring your skin to improve your skin. health and natural shine. plus some extra tips along the way. Let’s jump straight to day 1.

1. Day 1 | What’s in your bathroom?

We started where you are today and that means you start with a bathroom audit. Remove all skin products from the bathroom cabinet, even the ones behind. Those that stay in the closet longer than you want to admit can be discarded or recycled. Those who triggered reactions, sensitivities or outbursts can also be left out. This may have eliminated most, if not all, products like bowling pins. Observe carefully and ask yourself why you chose them and what the benefits are. Really check the list of ingredients. What are the ingredients? Where you are from? How do you work?

The above exercise may not be something you have done before or for a long time. So be kind to yourself and be compassionate when you feel overwhelmed or unsure about what to apply to your skin. We’re here to guide you on your By Sarah journey – and we know what it’s like to make the best decisions, but we don’t know exactly where to start.

We first developed organic herbal skin care blends to soothe and restore Lauren’s dry, irritated and sensitive skin as she recovered from leukemia. For us, skin care is like food. It must be nutritious, easy to understand, healthy and provide long-term health benefits. That’s why we use only herbal and natural ingredients – no essential oils or fragrances – to overwhelm or irritate the skin. No water, fillers or unnecessary ingredients.

It may be a totally new idea or something that you thought should be the case for the skincare products that you use daily and that you have in the bathroom to support and care for your skin. Either way, you have now completed Day 1 of removing products that no longer serve you in the bathroom and making room for those that have been hand-mixed just for you. With that awareness, let’s move on to Day 2.

Main lesson: what products are preventing you from enjoying your best skin? Clear and concise what is no longer working to make room for skin care that takes care of your skin.

2. Day 2 | Easy morning skin care

Welcome to Day 2 and the start of curating a morning skin care regimen that you will love. We believe that skin care should be a fun ritual, not a 10-step daily plan. And the best way to do that is with a basic skin care routine that you can do every day and develop if you want. Less is really more.

Today’s goal is to create the best morning skin care routine for you. The morning can be your favorite time of day, or if you are poor most of the time, having only a few minutes to yourself before the dog leaves, the kids have to go to school and you have to work.

Your morning skin regimen can be very effective with the right products used in just a few minutes, as long as you have a robust skin regimen at night (see Day 3 below). There are two main steps to ensure that your skin is clean, well cared for and ready for the next day:

  1. Before starting your morning to-do list, take a moment to clean and wake your skin with raspberry seed cleansing oil. This fruity oil is rich in essential fatty acids, mainly omega 3 and omega 6, to help promote skin health and appearance. The olive squalane of the mixture is easily absorbed by the skin’s lipid layers, preventing moisture loss while restoring the skin’s elasticity and shine. Exactly what your skin needs for a morning stimulation. Pour a small amount into your hand and massage in a circular motion. Sprinkle your face with a little warm water and watch the cleansing oil turn into a light cleansing milk to remove any residue overnight. Suitable for normal, dry, sensitive and combination skin.
  2. Then, apply a few drops of organic facial oil to the slightly damp skin to retain additional moisture on the skin. The award-winning organic facial oil is suitable for all skin types, non-greasy and rich in oleic and linoleic acids to provide anti-aging benefits for the skin. If you are new to using facial oils, check out this instructional video.
If your skin is prone to blemishes or rashes, enjoy hemp-infused blemish oil until your skin improves, then switch to organic facial oil. The innovative and targeted blend was specially developed for acne, blemished and hormonal skin to rebalance the skin’s microbiome, reduce bacterial infections and relieve inflammation. Apply a few drops to clean, slightly damp skin, such as organic face oil.
  3. Restore dry patches of skin, cuticles and lips throughout the day with organic skin balm and refresh your skin after training with raspberry seed cleansing oil, whether it’s yoga, Pilates or jogging.

Main lesson: start the day with a good herbal cleanser and facial oil to clean and nourish your skin. A few minutes well spent in the morning offer benefits to skin care that lasts all day.

3. Day 3 | Skin care relaxing at night

You arrived on day 3 and redefined the last installment of your skin care routine. One of the most important steps in your daily skin care routine at the end of the day is to clean it. This is necessary to remove daily stains, dirt, accumulation of dead skin cells, sunscreen, makeup and other dirt that has accumulated on the skin throughout the day. And like at night, when skin cell production is at its peak, using a deeply hydrating and targeted facial oil before bedtime is the key to building your skin’s natural defenses while you sleep.

  1. Like your morning skin care routine, your evening routine is built around a fantastic herbal cleanser and natural facial oil:
  2. As the sun sets and the day comes to an end, remove your makeup, sunscreen and daily impurities with raspberry seed cleansing oil, apply it directly to your skin and activate under water to turn it into a milky cleaner. If you live in a polluted city or want a deeper clean, you can instead enjoy the antioxidant-rich green clay cleansing balm with the organic muslin washcloth or as part of a double clean after oil. cleaning. Using the two products together is a luxurious way to take care of your skin and a great weekend while enjoying your self-care rituals.
  3. Apply a little cold water to the skin to close the pores and finish with a few drops of organic facial oil or hemp-infused spot repair oil. Take a moment to massage your face and neck and assist with lymphatic drainage. It is not necessary to cover the skin with various night treatments, creams and eye creams.
  4. Really, take the time at night to massage your skin with the beautiful vegetable oils, join with it and how you are feeling and visualize all the beautiful nutrients that will restore, replenish and repair your skin. Just a few minutes of facial massage at the end of the day helps maintain skin health. Follow our facial massage video.

Main lesson: end the day with an herbal skin treatment and a facial massage. A simple and highly effective night routine that offers lasting benefits while you sleep.

4. Bonus | Self-care beyond the core

Now you have completed your 3 Day Skin Care Reset, which saw you rediscovering skin care and making a better connection with the products you use and how you take care of your skin.

With your morning and evening skin care routine, once or twice a week you can explore and present complementary products, such as the Green Clay Facial Mask to improve your skin’s natural glow, Organic Body Oil to relieve dry skin after a bath or shower restore Our organic hair oil deeply nourishes hair and contains no silicone and parabens.

C. Sarah’s 3-Month Plan for Perfect Wedding Day Skin

The wedding season is coming and there is a very special Stylebook member who is getting married: Sarah Akram is trying to get married this summer! You and your finances, Chris, are busy planning her special day, discovering every detail, from identifying the perfect spot to finding “the dress”. Of course, like all brides, Sarah wants to look good and feel good on her big day. Be it the bride, part of the bridal shower or a wedding guest, everyone wants to feel comfortable and safe attending an important event.

We spend a lot of time looking for the right wedding look – dress, shoes, jewelry, even hair and makeup – but we often forget about one of the most important accessories we wear every day – our skin! Sure, you can pretend to be flawless and glowing skin for one night, but with a little planning, you can still enjoy the benefits of healthy skin for a long time. While it takes some persistence and dedication, taking good care of your skin is not as scary as you might think, and the long-lasting results are certainly worth the effort. Fortunately, Sarah is a skin care specialist and shares her three-month journey to healthier, radiant skin. They will shine in time for the wedding season or other important event.

1. 3 months before the big day: the facial

Microdermabrasion is a great way to start a personalized facial treatment, as it exfoliates and removes the dry, dead and uneven outer layer of winter skin. It also treats fine lines and wrinkles and provides a new “foundation” for treatment. Often uncomfortable, extractions are necessary for many of us with blocked skin. By extracting impurities (oil, sebum, residues) from the skin, the skin can heal faster and absorb nutrients from the skin products more easily.

If, like me, you have a tendency to leak, the blue LED light is also part of your treatment. This miraculous (seriously, makes a difference) painless blue wand kills the acne-causing bacteria that cause inflammation and cleans the bacteria from the skin’s sebaceous glands. In addition, the sebaceous glands shrink, so that less oil is produced in the skin.

Ice balls, or “Blue Magic” balls, are cooled glass balls that are usually used at the end of a facial. When gently wrapped around the skin, it soothes, smoothes and stretches.

A soothing facial mask that softens the skin while injecting moisture and nutrients like vitamins C and E completes the treatment.

2. Intermediate treatments: home care

Adhering to a consistent skin care regime between treatments is the key to achieving visible and long-term results. Although we often hear about the importance of hydration, cleansing treatments – for all skin types – are equally important. Unfortunately, bad skin care habits usually start when the skin is not properly cleaned, such as when makeup is not washed before bed. A cleansing routine not only removes dirt and residue from the skin, but also prepares it for the rest of the treatment at home.

The facial message is another very important tool for skin care at home. Just a minute or two a day can help prevent wrinkles and increase oxygen and blood flow. Increased blood flow leads to increased collagen production, which gives the skin a healthy, natural glow. Facial massage also increases the absorption of other skin products and stimulates lymphatic drainage.

3. 2 months before the big day: the facial (again)

Another facial cleanses, moisturizes, treats and refines the skin even more.

4. 1 month before the big day: facial oxygen infusion

The facial O2 infusion is gentle enough to receive several in a month. It reduces the signs of aging by providing the skin with essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and the pure oxygen molecule. After exfoliating, cleaning and moisturizing, pure oxygen (along with pure forms of other vitamins) is applied to the skin through a cold therapeutic explosion. Oxygen molecules target the deep layer of the skin and bind to red blood cells, as well as to collagen and elastin fibers, to stimulate the production of new healthy cells and increase skin firmness and elasticity. Result: radiant skin.
